Let's Talk Public Health Informal discussions
Read the resources and see materials we used for January 28 "School Reopenings: Are we moving at the speed of trust?" and February 11 "Is it possible to carry out a successful vaccination campaign in a structurally racist USA?"
The Collaborative for Health Equity Cook County (CHE Cook County) mission is to build relationships and alliances with other sectors and community organizations in order to change the maldistribution of money, power, and resources that produces the gross injustices and inequities we see in our communities today.
Within that framework, the leadership of CHE Cook County hosted two “over dinner” zoom discussions where complex public health topics were explored with a multi sector grouping. We hoped people left these discussions with an appreciation of the process of collective thinking and an understanding of the role values play in public health decisions.
