The Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) has the legal authority to protect the health of all including those held at IL ICE Detention Centers (EXECUTIVE BRANCH (20 ILCS 2305/) Department of Public Health Act). Demand now that they immediately do site visits to all ICE detention sites and put a plan in place assuring health justice for those being held. #FreeThemAll #IDPHSanctuaryNow

 

We are demanding that the public health authority of Illinois Department of Public Health be used immediately to protect the health and dignity of all held in ICE custody and the unaccompanied minors under the supervision of the Office of Refugee Resettlement. The sign on letter is directed to  Governor Pritzker and Dr. Ngozi, Director of Illinois Department of Public Health.
